Shio Yōshoku (Emquartier)

It has been nearly a year since I last made my blog post. I actually have been meaning to write this for a while, but I haven’t had a chance. Since last year up until now, I have visited Shio Yōshoku at Emquartier few times. One of my friends introduced me to this hidden gem and I absolutely loved it! Why did I call it a ‘hidden gem’? Well, it’s because it is sort of hidden! It is located on the 8th floor at the Helix, Emquartier. It then became my new favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays since it has nice and quiet atmosphere. I have surprised few friends here. I will sum up my visits in this one post.

Shio Yōshoku is a Japanese fusion modern restaurant that is nicely decorated and is quiet, which makes it a perfect place to have a catch-up session with your besties. Just last year, they gave complimentary yogurt spheres with sesame rice crackers; however, I went back this year and they only served rice crackers. I honestly thought the yogurt spheres was weird but some people like it. Their rice crackers were quite good though. They just changed their menu earlier this year. My absolute favorite dish is the Foie Gras and Truffle Risotto. This is not on the menu anymore though, but if you would like to try, you can ask the chef for Mushroom Risotto and add Foie Gras to it. Some of my other recommended dishes can be found below. Everything is so tasty and worth a try! The restaurant is opened daily from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
